Just can’t get enough of the beach?
Barefoot Hide A Way Grill in Panama City Beach is the only restaurant in the area that sits directly on our famous white sands.
The restaurant is completely outside, and there are plenty of seats on the brand new 30-foot extension to the main deck. Since the Gulf Coast is often sunny and warm, brightly colored awnings keep customers shaded and cool.
Arrive early in the morning and join the locals for some of the best breakfast in Panama City Beach.
The classic bacon and eggs are always a favorite, but the Old Fashion French Toast is an extraordinary way to start off your day. The baguette is covered in a cinnamon and vanilla egg batter and grilled to a thing of golden beauty. Powdered sugar is sprinkled over the top, and plenty of syrup comes on the side.
Cindy, the barkeeper at Barefoot, highlighted another favorite on the breakfast menu.
“The Oven Baked Biscuits and Sausage Gravy is the most popular breakfast item by far,” she says. “People are usually sad that they can’t finish them all.”

In addition to great breakfast, Barefoot Hide A Way Grill is also a popular lunch and dinner destination. Cindy was kind enough to point out some of the favorite entrees.
“A lot of people like the Big Mouth Cheeseburger,” she says. “Just like the biscuits and gravy, hardly anyone can finish the burger.”
And the locals are constantly raving about the gumbo.
“I’ve never seen a bowl of gumbo come back with anything left inside it,” says Cindy. “Even if the person who ordered it didn’t finish it, someone at the table does.”
Not hungry? There’s still cause to pull over and enjoy a signature drink at Barefoot Hide A Way Grill. All of the signature drinks are served in a 25-ounce souvenir mason jar. Keep a tight grip on that jar, because refills come at a considerable discount.
Stop by and let Cindy and the friendly staff at Barefoot Hide A Way Grill make you feel like a local.
